FEED SACRAMENTO HOMELESS

Since November of 2013 Feed Sacramento Homeless has successfully and consistently served the community on a monthly basis. As of January 8th of this year we have served over 2000 people in Sacramento. In October of 2014 we have officially been declared a non-profit organization and expanded our services beyond food to include clothing, toys for children, and hygiene products. All of our materials have been donated from people and businesses throughout Sacramento. We are growing every month and what we have accomplished in such a short time is due to the dedication, compassion and generosity of our public supporters, volunteers, and board members.

Emergency Shelter: VOA has a variety of different temporary emergency shelters in the Sacramento area for individuals, families, the elderly and other populations experiencing homelessness. Supportive Housing: Supportive, temporary accommodation that is meant to bridge the gap from homelessness to permanent housing by offering structure, support, life skills, education, etc. Affordable Housing Communities: Different affordable housing for families, seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities located in Auburn, Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, and North Highlands.

Making A Change Sacramento

We are based out of Sacramento, California. We believe that every person has the right to safe and healthy housing. Our focus is on bettering our community by reaching out to those in need and providing resources in the way of food, tangible items, or information to services.Our goal is to assist every homeless person in the Sacramento community in securing safe and secure housing and providing a sense of dignity and self-worth. In the interim, we remain proactive in the community by continuing to be a liaison between those in need and the many services offered in the greater Sacramento County.

 

Guest House Homeless Clinic

El Hogar Community Services, Inc. has been in existence since 1977, originally created under the auspices of the Sacramento Concilio to provide mental health services to the Latino community. It is from these beginnings the agency took its name, which translates to “The Home” in Spanish. Over the years, El Hogar has expanded its services beyond its original client base and has evolved to address the needs of our diverse cultural and ethnic community. CLAP - Community Lead Advocacy Program

We provide community reach-outs, resource assistance, advocacy support for the Sacramento Community. We encourage community members and organizations to subscribe through our website: clapsac.com. Sacramento Mercy Pedalers

Mercy Pedalers are bicyclers and tricyclers reaching out to men and women experiencing homelessness on the streets. It is a ministry of presence and action based on the “Works of Mercy” and emphasizing “Welcoming the Stranger”.

Consumers Self Help South Sac

We provide more than 30 support groups and/or activities every week! We believe in the principles of Recovery and Peer Support. Available to anyone residing in Sacramento County eighteen years of age or older. Membership and all groups and activities are always free! Sacramento Stand Down - Veterans

Sacramento Stand Down is a non-profit 501c3 Organization servicing homeless veterans in the Sacramento community for over 28 years. Our organization brings together State and Federal agencies as well as other non-profit service providers. We all work together to create a comprehensive support network that encourages and assists homeless veterans, high-risk veterans of becoming homeless, to include Guard and Reservists in addressing the multiple problems they face. Sacramento Stand Down provides a safe environment in which our veterans can connect with individuals who have their shared experiences and who have a singular goal of helping our veterans cultivate hope so they can rebuild their lives. This belief is embodied in our goal of providing a hand up not a handout.

HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team)

HART was started as a way to engage the local community and bring much needed services to the suburban areas of Sacramento County.  We are collaboration between community members, faith-based organizations, and local nonprofits who are striving to end homelessness.  Each HART group creates its own mission dedicated to the needs of the local community.  Sacramento Self Help Housing supports in helping achieve their goals. Elk Grove HART was the first HART founded in 2010.  Since then, HART has expanded to eight more communities: Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Carmichael, Folsom, North Sacramento, Arden Arcade, South Sacramento, and Midtown.  HART makes it possible to serve people experiencing homelessness where they are and provide services for them in the communities in which they reside

The People's Pantry

We are a drive-through, farmers market-style food distribution every third Tuesday from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova. All are welcome.

Blessings in a Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack provides weekend food to students in elementary schools who have food insecurities when they're not in school. Most of our students are provided free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.  We step in to help over the weekends.

Rancho Cordova Food Locker

Rancho Cordova Food Locker (RCFL) is an official U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) food distribution site and an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization (EIN #84-4865349). RCFL provides needy individuals and families in the community with a free emergency supply of food. Our patrons come from all walks of life, including the unemployed, seniors, disabled, homeless, working poor, and new immigrants.

Sacramento Self Help Housing

Sacramento Self Help Housing (SSHH) in collaboration with Project Sentinel and Legal Services of Northern California(LSNC), provides telephone counseling and dispute resolution services for Unincorporated Sacramento County, City of Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Folsom, and Citrus Heights residents. The Tenant Advisors will deal directly with concerns regarding landlord-tenant disputes and help refer fair housing issues to the appropriate agency.

SPCA Paw Pantry - Pet Food
