Fundraise
You can help us organize a fundraising event (i.e., host a dinner; ask friends and family members to donate items and host a silent auction or raffle; help with the writing of a grant; etc). Contact us with ideas. It will be an honor to brainstorm together and work to raise funds for supporting our relatives in need!
Periodic fundraising events such as drum-making, raffles, and silent auctions are organized by Relationships with Purpose.
During drum-making sessions, participants are guided through an indigenousness ritual providing an opportunity for a life review and setting of new life intentions.
Raffles and silent auctions of items donated (i.e., paintings, restaurant certificates, native quilts, leisure items, etc) help with networking and promoting professional communion. Subscribe to our mailing list and receive emails sent out with news or special events.
Purchase one of our Writings
Visit our small book company, Journey of the Phoenix Publishing, and purchase one of our books. You will not regret it! These books have been written with much intentionality and heartfelt purpose. 100% of the proceeds from books sold are used to support our services.
Partnership
Relationships with Purpose supports and practices social responsibility/group collaboration. Together, and through the sharing of knowledge, skills, and resources (joint grant writing), we can create a greater impact locally, statewide, nationally, and globally. Contact us. Let’s brainstorm possibilities and journey together as we serve those in need!
Volunteer
Volunteering is a good way of “paying it forward.” We all have been in a place where others have provided a hand when we needed it. If you live in the Sacramento area and would like to volunteer your skills and some time, please contact us.
Professionals with degrees and experiences in mental health, addiction, trauma, and counseling are asked to volunteer at least 5 hours per month for a minimum of 2 months in order to provide additional emotional/cognitive support to individuals/families participating in counseling/clinical services. Trained doctors, dentists, nurses, and physical therapists are asked to consider volunteering in the free health clinics offered annually.
Currently, volunteers are needed for supporting with the distribution of items for unhomed individuals as well as assisting with the organizing of events/projects to connect our unhomed community members with needed medical and social resources.
Relationships with Purpose also has numerous ongoing projects (i.e., building of community gardens; organization - coordination of health clinics; etc) where volunteers will be greatly appreciated.
The world of technology has provided us with opportunities to collaborate and build networks regardless of geographical distances. Opportunities for remote volunteers include graphic design, editing, grant writing, data analysis, among others.
Our team is committed to providing services guided by 7 major Core Values:
-
Everyone Matters: being mindful of the impact of connection and relationships.
-
Respect: relationships and services that mirror reverence and honor.
-
Integrity: reliable and trustworthy services.
-
Authenticity: honesty and transparency/union between the organization’s ideals and actions.
-
Reflection: contemplation before decisions (a conscious prayer).
-
Courage: commitment to the promotion of wellness.
-
Service: dedication to fostering partnership, teamwork, and collaboration while restoring communities.
It is important for our volunteers to understand and honor these values when joining Relationships with Purpose. As a charitable nonprofit organization, our commitment is to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities that we serve.
